What’s your photography style?
I specialise in natural, candid photography, capturing the genuine moments and emotions of your day without stiff posing. My goal is to blend in like a friendly guest, so you can relax and just be yourselves. Authentic storytelling is at the heart of everything I do.
Can we see a full wedding gallery, not just the highlights?
Absolutely! I’m happy to share complete galleries from real weddings so you can see how I capture the whole story, from start to finish.
Do you work with a second photographer?
Yes! Lee, my trusted second photographer, often joins me for full-day weddings. This means we can cover both of you getting ready and capture even more of those special moments and cover the ceremony from more angles.
Have you worked at our venue before?
I’ve photographed weddings across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and beyond, including many local venues like Makeney Hall Hotel, Rothley Court Hotel and The Farmhouse at Mackworth (where I’m a recommended photographer). If your venue is new to me, I’ll visit ahead of time to find the best spots.
How do we book you, and how far in advance should we do so?
I only accept a limited number of weddings per year to give each couple my full attention. Booking early is best! Just get in touch via my website or phone, and I’ll guide you through the simple booking process. A booking fee (£250) secures your date, with the balance due two weeks before your wedding, instalment plans are also available for your convenience.
What’s included in your packages?
You’ll receive unlimited beautifully edited images, pre-wedding meetings, drone photography, and a same-day slideshow for instant highlights. I’m always happy to tailor packages to your needs.
Do you offer drone photography?
Yes, drone photography is included in many packages (weather and venue permitting). It’s a fantastic way to capture your venue, couple photos and group shots from a unique perspective.
How do you help camera-shy couples feel comfortable?
Most of my couples say they’re camera-shy! My relaxed, unobtrusive approach means you can enjoy your day while I capture the magic. I’ll offer gentle guidance if needed, but mostly I let you just be yourselves.
What happens if it rains or something unexpected happens?
No worries! I always come prepared with backup plans (and umbrellas). Some of the best photos happen when things don’t go to plan, and I’ll make sure your memories are captured beautifully, whatever the weather.
How long will it take to receive our photos?
You’ll enjoy a same-day slideshow at your reception, and your full gallery is typically ready within 14-21 days, much faster than most photographers. I’ll keep you updated every step of the way.
Are you insured and do you have backup equipment?
Yes—I’m fully insured and always carry backup cameras and lenses, so your memories are safe with me.
Can we meet you before booking?
Of course! I always encourage a chat over coffee or a video call so you feel comfortable and confident with your photographer.
Do you offer albums or prints?
Yes, I offer a wide range of beautiful, handmade storybook albums and print options so you can treasure your photos for years to come.

From the initial meeting, we knew it was David who we wanted to take our photos. Not just because of the wonderful photos he showed us but because of how lovely and friendly he was.
